- Photocopies and printouts of research materials
- Black ultra-fine sharpie
- Loose-leaf notebook paper
- Heavy-duty glue stick
- Distress ink
- Scissors
- Ballpoint pen
- Post-it notes (or similar sized notepaper)
Follow these simple instructions to complete this mixed media art journal prompt:
- Open your art journal to the first blank page spread.
- Across the top of both pages of the spread, use the black ultra-fine sharpie to write in bold letters what your topic is that you are researching.
- Start writing out notes on the loose-leaf paper, as well as on the post-it note papers. If the materials are already covered in the reproductions and printouts, do not copy it over again. Try to keep all the material presented unique from each other.
- Cut out bits and pieces from the reproduced research materials and printouts that are of particular interest to your research topic. Add distress ink to the edges after they’ve been cut out.
